These cannot be switched off, because the platform relies on them to work at all.

• your saved location preference;
• language, if we add more languages in future;
• whether you have dismissed the app install prompt;
• other small preferences that make the app feel like yours.

Analytics help us improve Locanta by collecting anonymous information about how the platform is used, such as:

• page visits;
• feature usage;
• business profile views;
• favourites;
• directions clicks;
• website clicks;
• performance metrics.

Analytics only start once you opt in — if you choose "Essential only", reject optional cookies, or have not made a choice yet, nothing analytics-related is loaded or recorded. Analytics data is anonymised wherever possible and is never used to build an advertising or behavioural profile of you, and it is never shared with advertisers or ad networks. In-app events like profile views and directions clicks are recorded against the business so owners can see how their listing performs.

Locanta currently does not use marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not run ad-network tags, retargeting pixels or cross-site tracking. We never build advertising profiles or sell your data. If we introduce anything in this category in future, we will ask for your consent first and it will stay off until you opt in.

Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before any non-essential cookies are used. You can Accept all, Reject optional, or manage each category in detail.

You can change your choice at any time from the Cookie preferences page, which is also linked in the website footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect essential cookies, which are always active.
